MORPC Now Accepting Nominations for 2011 Sustainability Awards

The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) is now accepting nominations for the 2011 Sustainability Awards, to be announced at the Summit on Sustainability & the Environment on October 11. The awards will honor outstanding leadership in Central Ohio within the five categories under the umbrella of MORPC’s Center for Energy and Environment volunteer working groups.  These include agriculture and local foods, energy and air quality, greenways and water quality, materials management, and sustainable growth.

Nominations are open to individuals, businesses, public entities and organizations within MORPC's 12-county Central Ohio region.  Nominations will be accepted through August 19.
