Speaker Details:

Kenny McDonald, CEcD    Chief Executive Officer   Columbus2020!      
Kenny serves as the chief economic officer of the Columbus2020! initiative, the 8-county regional economic growth strategy.  He leads all economic development efforts for the organization. He also serves as the senior vice president for the Columbus Partnership, a regional leadership group for central Ohio.   

McDonald has an extensive background in site selection, regional economic development, community marketing, business recruitment and international business development. Previously, McDonald had served seven years as the executive vice president of the Charlotte Regional Partnership, a public-private economic development organization covering a 16 county region in North and South Carolina. McDonald’s 15 years of economic development experience also include leadership positions at the Albuquerque Economic Development Corporation, Fluor Corporation and the Savannah Economic Development Authority.

McDonald received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Dickinson State University and a Masters in Public Administration from Georgia Southern University. He also holds the professional designation of Certified Economic Developer, (CeCD) awarded through the International Economic Development Council.  McDonald, his wife, Jennifer and three school-aged children live in Central Ohio.
