National Benchmarking Survey Rates Dublin Tops in Economic Development

March 12, 2010

In a recently released benchmarking survey conducted by independent research firm, National Research Center, residents of Dublin have ranked their community number one in terms of the city’s economic development policies.  In addition the community ranked higher as a place to live than people from any other community participating in the nationwide study.

“Clearly something remarkable is happening in Dublin,” said Tom Miller, president of National Research Center.  “I have reviewed Dublin’s findings and found them uncommon in that the community is in the top five jurisdictions in our entire database in more than 50 key metrics.”

The city ranked first out of 306 communities when respondents were asked to rate their community as a place to live.  Dublin ranked tops on city services, overall appearance, and overall image and reputation.

A crown jewel in the city’s economic development strategy is the Dublin Entrepreneurial Center which serves as a resource for emerging companies and technologies in the city.  The DEC will celebrate its one-year anniversary on April 22, 2010 with a business breakfast open to the community.
