The definition of a National College ISE (Information Systems Engineering) and HIT (Health Information Technology)internship/externship is that students will have the opportunity to gain practical skills and hands-on experience by working 120 clock hours in a supervised business environment with an emphasis on network administration, desktop support, billing and coding, analysis and assembly of patient data/release of information and medical/health care systems administration. Our internship students will receive support through special federal funding that National College has received; therefore the organizations/companies would be under no obligation to pay the students for their time. Our externship students, like our internship students, would not require pay either as our students will be receiving class credit for their time spent on the job.
