National Emergency Grant - On-The-Job Training funds available to employers -- Employer Forum

The 3.8 Million dollars will be available statewide for up to 500 eligible job seekers and the companies who commit to hiring them.  The NEG OJT program is targeted to job seekers who have been unemployed for a sustained, prolonged period.   That is at least 158 days beginning on or after January 1, 2008.   For employers, it could mean helping these dislocated workers get back into the workforce, getting the qualified employees businesses need to grow, and receiving at least 50% wage reimbursement.

The meeting on Jan. 27 will last about one hour, and will go over eligibility requirements, the application process, and address any questions you may have.

The funds were released on November 7th and will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis to companies and job seekers.  We are sharing these funds with 19 other workforce areas across the state, so in an effort to make sure businesses in Franklin County are able to take advantage of the NEG OJT program before the funds run out, we are reaching out to you.
