Nationwide Children’s Breaks Ground on 225,000-Square-Foot Research Building

Construction has begun on Research Building III at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.  Turner Construction broke ground this week on the $93 million, 225,000-square-foot project.  The building will anchor the west campus expansion of Nationwide Children’s and house the Battelle Center for Mathematical Medicine, the Center for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Research and the Center for Perinatal Research. 

The building is expected to achieve LEED certification for innovation and leadership in environmental building design and construction.  The project is scheduled for completion in 2012.

Nationwide Children’s is recognized as one of the fastest growing pediatric research institutes in the US.
