Position Summary:
Technical individual who must adhere and promote our core values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team player. Designs and develops software product applications for market sale proprietary software applications. Use Microsoft.NET framework and supported programming language. Manage full software development lifecycle including testing, implementation and auditing in an AGILE environment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist in defining and refining design specifications
- Aid in the translation of business requirements to a viable development design
- Create technical specifications to describe the architecture, design and functionality of software components
- Enhance current software applications
- Work with AGILE team and Product Owners to respond to service requests with timely solutions to client problems
- Work with AGILE team and Product Owners to deliver value and quality
- Participate in daily standup, iteration retrospective and iteration planning meetings
- Work under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment
- Other job related duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Moderate development skills with high level of proficiency
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server and .NET framework
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes
- Strong knowledge of the markets we serve with our products
- Ability to multi-task with excellent problem solving skills
- Full functional ability to use computer and computer related equipment
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
- Must be willing and able to travel for a minimum of 1 week per year
- Must have and maintain valid Driver License, reliable transportation and full coverage auto insurance
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Minimum Desired Competencies:
- Bachelors of Science in CIS or MIS or equivalent experience in related field
- VB.net or VB6 programming experience
- Extensive working knowledge of VB.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET and C#.net
- Certified in at least 1 SQL Server
- Certified in at least 1 area of Visual Studio
- 2 + years of software development or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of database programming in T-SQL or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of experience developing software as part of an Agile/Scrum team
- Reporting services and document imaging experience a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
