Health Care DataWorks, Inc. (HCD), an OSU spinoff, has entered into a multi-year agreement with Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS) to provide a Clinical Data Repository (CDR) using HCD’s Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Appliance. The goal of this project is to collect timely and accurate cost and quality data and make it available to PHS’ users for informed decision making. By taking these steps, PHS will have the ability to measure the performance of organizational cost and quality efforts.
Health Care DataWorks’ EDW/CDR includes a robust healthcare enterprise data model, hundreds of standard reports and a number of pre-built dashboards and scorecards. The appliance will provide Presbyterian Healthcare Services with an integrated, consolidated view of their clinical, financial, operational and research data.
PHS is New Mexico’s only private, not-for-profit health care system. It serves more than 700,000 New Mexicans, and is the largest provider of health care in the state. In addition, PHS operates 8 hospitals statewide, while affiliated clinics handle more than 1.2 million patient visits annually.
This announcement follows closely on the heels of HCD’s announcement in June that it was selected by Orlando Health to be the EDW for its eight-hospital system in Central Florida.
