NSF Opens SBIR Phase I Awards Solicitation – Up to $45M Available for Research Projects in Key Sectors

The National Science Foundation announced its 2010 SBIR Phase I request for proposals for research projects in the areas of Biotechnology and Chemical Technologies, Education Applications, Information and Communication Technologies and Nanotechnology, Advanced Materials and Manufacturing. 

Between 200-300 projects will be awarded up to $150,000 to conduct R&D on projects deemed to have high commercialization potential or meet an important social or economic need.  Deadline for applying is December 3, 2009.  For complete details, see the NSF Web site.
