Oh No? Another Social Media Property? The Case for Google Plus (+) & Why You Should Care (Psst. Better than Facebook)

The Case for Google+:

Why It's Better than Facebook & Twitter, & Why You Should Care

Have you heard the buzz about Google+?  Wondering why you should get on yet another social media property on the Web? Wondering how you'll fit THIS into your crazy schedule?

Rescheduled:
August 9th, Tuesday, from 11:30 to 1:30 (or 2:00 for Q&A)

Attend our fun, interactive two hour workshop (yes, bring your laptop) on The Case for Google+, followed by a 30 minute session of Q&A on what social media is doing for your business, what you like/dislike, and what you're doing to measure it compared to other search marketing efforts. We're going to set up your personal Google+ profile while you're here, and we'll show you how to host your first ever video group hangout!  As if that wasn't enough? Jimmy John's Lunch is included.

Notes on personal vs professional profiles on our site.  We're blogging about Google+ weekly, so be sure to check out our blog.

It's been a month on G+, and we've learned alot.  We're still learning, but are so convinced of its value to you and your company that we want to share our knowledge and get you to set up your profiles and learn how to host video hangouts.  Here's what we're going to cover:

  1. What is Google+ (some referencing G+ or Google Plus)
  2. What are its current demographics? Who's flocking to Google+ and why
  3. How is it different from Facebook & Twitter
  4. What are the improvements of Google+ over Facebook
  5. What are the improvements over Twitter
  6. Do you still need an invite? If so, let us know now, and we'll get registrants in before the seminar.
  7. How to populate your Google+ profile in less than two hours, during our workshop, and then make minor edits after that.
  8. How to measure whether or not it's beginning to send traffic to your site using Google Analytics
  9. How to manage your circles
  10. How to coordinate video group hangouts
  11. What not to do in Google+
  12. Our observations of the first month on G+, trends, personal vs brand profiles and how those are being handled.

Cost: $65 (If you bring three paid registrants other than yourself, your cost is $0)

Once you've set up your Google+ profile, just imagine:

1) you may no longer be required to manage separate profiles personal vs professional - Google+ addresses that in some ways, although we're going to talk about brand profiles as well.

2) you may no longer need to use SKYPE premium accounts for video chats - you'll be able to have up to ten people on Google Video hangouts at no cost (yet)

3) easily manage your circles versus profiles

4) Coordinate webinars without using WEBEX or SKYPE - teach up to ten people at a time, at no cost to you

5) business implications for this social media property

Lastly, we'll brainstorm on how this will affect your overall search marketing & social media marketing strategy and analytics.  How will you measure impact on your business? We'll talk about that.
