Ohio Network for Healthcare Information Assurance Meeting

ONHIA is a collaborative team of healthcare and information technology professionals that meet to network and discuss ideas, best practices, and common problems for the purpose of building knowledge and finding solutions.

Our meetings are held three times a year; main topics tend to be along the issues that face those responsible for disaster recovery and security in the healthcare industry. We actively invite participants that are DR/BC personnel from the non-healthcare fields, as much of the content makes sense across all businesses. Vendor organizations that show a modicum of restraint are also invited to participate.

Electronic discovery has brought many IT departments into a legal process that mystifies many. What can sound like a simple problem is often anything but simple. Even with advanced technology put in place ahead of time, problems can easily arise in the execution of the procedures needed to make use of the technology.

11:45-1:00 – Lunch – City BBQ buffet - provided by Expedient, more networking

1:00-1:45 – Tour of Expedient Datacenter – located next door at Building #1

1:45-2:45 – Vincent L. Mason, Disaster Recovery Coordinator -  Information Services at Nationwide Children's Hospital presenting ‘Evaluating DR Colocation’.

2:45-3:00 – Roundtable – determine schedule/agenda for March 2012 meeting
