Ohio Third Frontier Making $17M Available for Biomedical and Medical Imaging Programs – Important Dates to Remember

The Ohio Third Frontier has announced important dates for those interested in applying for funding through the Ohio Third Frontier Biomedical Program (OTFBP) and Ohio Third Frontier Medical Imaging Program (OTFMIP). 

OTFBP is dedicated to supporting R&D in Ohio of biomedical products, with special emphasis on cardiovascular, regenerative medicine and orthopedics.   OTFMIP is dedicated to R&D as it relates to the advancement of technology and innovation in medical imaging components and systems. 

Between the two programs, there is $17million available.  Those interested in applying should note these key dates:

• Jan. 5, 2010 – Bidder’s Conference at TechColumbus, 1275 Kinnear Rd. in Columbus.
• Jan. 25, 2010 – Letters of Intent are due by 2:00 p.m.
• Feb. 22, 2010 – Ohio Department of Development will respond to written questions through Feb. 22.
• March 1, 2010 – Full proposals due by 2:00 p.m.
• May 2010 – Awards announced.
