OhioHealth Program Helps Doctors and Other Clinician Inventors Get Their Ideas to Market

December 3, 2010

For the last three years, the OhioHealth Research & Innovation Institute, has helped new companies founded by doctors, nurses and other clinicians, turn their ideas for better patient care into viable businesses.  In total, the program has helped launch ten new companies, including Minimally Invasive Devices, SyberMed, EpiCo and others.

The program has particularly excelled in commercializing medical devices and bedside products that do not require the extensive regulatory rigors of FDA approvals such as those required by complex devices or drugs.
