Expedient has an immediate need for a Facility Operations Manager in our Upper Arlington (Columbus), Ohio data center.  This position will be responsible for personnel and facility management.  The successful candidate will become involved with various projects and have responsibility for supervision of the local Operations Support Center (OSC) that is responsible for responding to customer requests 24x7x365. Job Duties:
•    Provide oversight to employees responsible for facility maintenance, customer service and general operations.
•    Assume accountability for market operations and work closely with functional group managers to address issues proactively and reactively.
•    Meet with key customers as needed to maintain relationships and address needs.
•    Be available outside of normal business hours as a point of escalation for facility maintenance and customer requests.
•    Organize and direct the work of maintenance/installation contractors and operations support center analysts as required to complete assigned duties.
•    Ensure that security procedures to facilitate customer access to the data center are followed consistently.
•    Ensure that the trouble ticket system is used to log all requests and activities.
•    Monitor the operational support systems to identify and resolve facility problems,
•    Develop or modify processes and procedures when needed to improve service and support.
•    Communicate with customers and internal staff at regular intervals to ensure expectations are set and that appropriate attention is being paid to customer requests.
•    Conduct annual performance evaluations of local market staff and provide daily feedback with regard to goal attainment and areas for improvement.
•    Partner with the sales team to conduct joint customer meetings and identify opportunities for additional revenue.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:   
•    2 or 4 year college degree or technical institution diploma.
•    Minimum 4 years experience as an individual contributor in a similar environment.
•    Minimum 2 years experience managing people.  
•    Demonstrable written and verbal communication skills.
•    Familiarity and comfort with standard PC software necessary to conduct business.
•    Basic knowledge and experience with electrical and mechanical systems is preferred.
•    Ability to read, comprehend and work from technical documents.
•    Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
