• Hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college with Oracle DBA certification preferred.

• Have a minimum of five years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience. • Thorough knowledge of the business needs and the detailed functionality of the ARCOS product. • Successful completion of the ARCOS SME Certification program. • Have ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels as well as with customers. • Be proficient in MS Office. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a comfort with working with all levels of individual contributors and management throughout an organization.

This associate has technical ownership of all aspects of database administration for both the ARCOS product and internal applications. The Oracle DBA also provides engineering support to the Product Development & Delivery team in the form of consultation on best practices in DB design and usage. Database Administration • Act as prime Database (DB) expert on all projects (both maintenance and engineering), as requested. • Perform routine maintenance as needed on Oracle databases supporting the ARCOS product as well as internal applications. • Plan and implement necessary Oracle upgrades and related tools to keep the product and organization abreast of latest supported technologies. • Support development efforts relying directly on Oracle expertise. • Implement enhancements and fixes in the ARCOS product based in PL/SQL. • Analyze current database structure and performance and make recommendations for improvement. • Lend expertise on new customer implementation efforts as requested. • Provide DB expertise to the regression testing automation project. • Serve as a consultant to associates both inside and outside Engineering on subjects relating to database and systems. On-Call Support • Must respond to any Critical System Outage (aka All Hands situation). • Must be proficient and practiced in DR procedures as demonstrated by periodic practice drills. • During and immediately following product deployments, continuous availability (24x7) for contact via cell phone and pager for escalated (Tier 3/4) customer production issues in owned areas of development.
