DB2 (z/OS) experience is important migrating from that environment
-
Oracle RAC experience
-
Explain what is different in implementing a DB in a RAC environment
-
Specific things you do relative to load balancing or turning in the RAC environment
-
Ability to understand differences between OLTP and RDBMS environment, and articulate how to build a data warehouse in an Oracle environment
-
Discuss different partitioning strategies in an Oracle environment, and how to implement them
-
Have previous experience with partitioning

Understand low level security in Oracle DW environment
-
Experience using rollover security when designing a program (did I get that right?)

Be able to assist project team during EDW implementation and help determine physical limits of the DW
-
Understand DB structures
-
Provide tuning instances
-
Be comfortable in a role where the DBA can report to the lead DBA, and have dotted line responsibility to the EDW team (many masters)
