Responsibility: investigate and hopefully tune the hundreds of Oracle database settings to give the fastest query times possible – while at the same time, not increasing the nightly load times too much. He or she would need to factor in the variations of queries that our BI tool allows. He or she would need to factor in the hardware and AIX environment.
