Please apply at npujari@everesttech.com or call 614.376.4948 Work Location: Columbus, OH Duration: 6 months (possible extension subject to budget approval) Skills and Experience Needed: Perform installation, maintenance, break-fix and enhancement administration on Oracle 10g under ZOS 1.12. Work with ZOS 1.12 and DBMS tools (Oracle Enterprise Manager) to implement and maintain database functionality. Interface with DB2 version 9 utilizing DBMS tools (BMC Change Manager and other BMC utilities). Install, maintain, enhance and intercede in Oracle 11G and 10.xG under Solaris 8.x working with Oracle Financials and utilizing Perl scripting for utility maintenance and enhancement. Install, maintain, enhance and intercede in Oracle 12c under Red Hat Linux on x86 hardware utilizing Perl scripting for utility maintenance and enhancement and database functionality. Provide Oracle database analysis and troubleshooting for daily problem resolution and database functional alteration given small and large project efforts. Provide insight and input to Oracle database architecture needs for both future direction and functional maintenance. Monitor and tune Oracle database performance and provide capacity planning insights given existing state of Oracle databases maintained. Create, alter and maintain documentation on Oracle database installation and existing connections. Configure, customize and implement Oracle database functionality and maintain connectivity to various applications within different network areas. Support external customers by maintaining Oracle functionality at peak levels especially at critical peak business activity times. Provide coverage for basic break-fix and other issues as generated by internal trouble tracking mechanisms and update problem tickets seeing those to resolution. Work with members in systems administrative and application development roles to fulfill customer requests at overall system changes and enhancements. Provide coverage for core business hours (08:00—19:00) for Oracle and assist in other database administrative areas as needed. Be available for off hours Oracle and database coverage (on call) on a periodic basis and be able to respond remotely or travel on site depending upon the nature of the issue. Maintain time sheets per standards and work with supervision to provide needed documentation on activities for off hours required work. Perform other duties as required by supervision.
