As part of its mission to encourage undergraduates to engage with the business world around them, this weekend, the Fisher College of Business at Ohio State will host the 5th Annual Nationwide/Fisher Biz Quiz. Students from 18 universities will compete in an academic challenge to showcase the business acumen to top undergraduate business students from across the US. In addition to Ohio State, some of the other schools being represented include: Michigan State’s Eli Broad College of Business, North western’s Kellogg School of Business, Purdue’s Krannert School of Management, SMU’S Cox School of Business and University of North Carolina, Kenan-Flagler Business School.
In a format reminiscent of the game show Jeopardy, student teams will be asked questions from articles appearing in The Wall Street Journal six weeks prior to the competition. The competition will include individual rounds, team preliminary rounds, team semifinals and the grand finale which is moderated by Krishnan Anantharaman, from The Wall Street Journal. The successful teams and individuals will receive financial awards.
The Nationwide/Fisher BizQuiz encourages students to be more aware of the business issues in the world around them.
