The state has approved a $50,000 Rapid Outreach Grant for OVCS, Inc., a 10-year old technology repair firm located in Columbus. The grant is to support a planned service line expansion for OVCS which plans to begin offering repair of Samsung products within the U.S. The planned expansion represents an investment by the company of more than a half million dollars.
It is reported that OVCS had been considering relocating to Arizona and Mexico and that the state grant helped keep the company in Central Ohio, thus retaining not only the existing 139 jobs in the region, but paving the way for the addition of 50 new positions.
OVCS repairs and reconditions fiber optic equipment, digital converters and power supplies.
