Ph.D. Organic Chemist (Staff or Sr. Staff Scientist)

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a small and rapidly growing company, and their impact will be immediate and significant.  You will accomplish this by being a key contributor as a chemist and scientist to the ongoing development of our dPEG® technologies, and specifically, as a key organic and applied chemistry expert to help guide development activities in the lab.  Activities will include, a) key ongoing  process development, b) developing optimal synthetic schemes for new products, c) working with our growing list of industrial and academic collaborators on new products.  You will perform critical proof of principle experiments for new ideas, as well as developing fundamental new technologies.  You will work closely with our senior management team in advancing the dPEG® technology into the future.  We offer a competitive compensation package including health insurance and 401K.

Preferred requirements:  

A minimum of a Ph. D.  in organic chemistry with 2 – 5 years additional industrial or postdoctoral experience is required.  The candidate should be very adept and persistent in problem solving, have a strong work ethic, and able to do a variety of tasks concurrently.  They should also be able to work with a diverse group of people as a contributing team member.   Experience in a large range of standard methodologies for compound purifications and identification is essential.  Some experience at the kilo lab scale would be advantageous.
