Crediting efforts over the last two years to leave behind less profitable programs and focus on recession-resistant businesses, Pinnacle Data Systems announced to investors a profit increase of 62 percent for fourth quarter 2008. The company earned $336,000, or 4 cents a share, in fourth quarter 2008 as compared to $208,000, or 3 cents a share, in fourth quarter 2007. Revenue however fell 12 percent during the quarter to $16.1 million from $18.3 million.
Based in Groveport, Pinnacle Data is an information technology business which has concentrated its efforts in such areas as defense, medical and service industry contracts. It designs and builds computer systems and provides IT management services.
