Popularity of Central Ohio as a Destination Continues to Climb

April 8, 2010

For the third consecutive year, Central Ohio has climbed in the annual rankings compiled by U-Haul International, Inc., of the top moving destinations in the U.S.  According to the study, which takes into account movers traveling one-way more than 50 miles, Columbus was the 16th busiest destination, out of the more than 1 million such transactions recorded, in 2009.

The region’s popularity as a residential destination has jumped 19 spots over the last three years.  In 2008, Columbus was ranked 24th, up from 35th in 2007.  More and more people are discovering Central Ohio as a great place to live and work.
