POSITION SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for executive level management of the Ohio Health Partnership (OHIP)
and its two main initiatives, the Health Information Exchange and Regional extension Center. Responsibilities will include partner outreach and management, coordination with federal and state HIT entities, representation of OHIP with the NHIN and any federal entities that require OHIP interaction, strategic business development including sustainable model development and execution, and oversight of operations and leadership of the senior management team. President/CEO will report the status of the organization to the Board of OHIP at its regular meetings and execute strategy as defined and/or modified by the Board. The President/CEO will be the public "Face" of OHIP and represent the organization in all public forums.
RESPONSIBILTIES
- Works with the OHIP Board to develop the overall goals and strategy for the organization and reports results of operations at regular Board meetings. Functions as a full voting member of the Board.
- Develops, monitors, evaluates and modifies tactics and strategy as implemented by OHIP in day to day operations to achieve the goals of the organization as established by the Board
- Establishes the goals and roles of senior management staff and coordinates their function
- Manages the strategic partnerships of OHIP as required either directly or as designated to an executive team member
- Leads fund raising activities for OHIP as required
- Acts as the primary liaison with the federal and state governments in all required areas
- Acts as the primary representative of OHIP to the Ohio public
- Establishes appropriate policies for the operation of the organization and manages personnel as reqUired
QUALIFICATIONS
The President and CEO must have five plus years of experience in high level, statewide management of health IT or related field preferably with a state government or related non-profit in the field. Demonstrated coordination of multiple healthcare stakeholders to achieve coordinated goals is a necessity. Educational credentials should include the minimum of a bachelor's degree in computation, informatics, public health or other relevant degree.
