Count Me In for Women’s Economic Independence, a non-profit organization focused on helping women entrepreneurs build high profile businesses, is currently registering women for the 2009 Make Mine a Million Race (The M3 Race).
The race is a year-long business growth marathon where women entrepreneurs sign on to meet certain business growth metrics including sales levels, revenue growth, employee growth, business net worth and profitability.
The race offers women entrepreneurs the chance to network and share ideas with one another as they build world-class companies. Participants will receive access to business development tools, education, mentoring, marketing assistance, a peer network, and other resources.
On average, participants in the Make Mine a Million Dollar Business program have increased their revenue and job growth rate by more than 40 percent within a year.
One grand prize M3 Race winner will receive a $100,000 cash award and a year’s worth of free advertising, marketing and media opportunities. Runners up will receive prizes including one-on-one business coaching, technology products, media exposure, and access to financing and new markets.
Count Me In was founded by Nell Merlino, the creator of “Take Your Daughters to Work Day.” It is supported by companies including American Express, Dell, Sam’s Club, FedEX and Cisco.
Women business owners can register for the race from now through June 30. Judging will be based on business achievements through December 31, 2009. For more information visit www.makemineamillion.org
