Bachelors Degree in Computer & Information Science or equivalent combination of education and experience required

Considerable experience designing and developing production quality web applications; experience working with users to gather business needs and translate those needs into functioning applications; extensive knowledge of C# and ASP.NET (2.0 or 3.5); experience working with relational databases and SQL; experience with any of the following technologies is strongly preferred: NHibernate or other ORM solution, ASP.NET MVC, JQuery, LINQ, SQL Server Reporting Services, Dependency Injection, Sharepoint forms and workflows.

We are seeking a highly motivated Programmer to join The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute. As one of only 40 NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers, The Ohio State University Comprehensive - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institutes (OSUCCC) top priority is translating basic research findings into clinical applications. The OSUCCC has more than 250 cancer investigators representing 11 of the 14 colleges at Ohio State and comprises six research programs whose member investigators collectively generated more than $100 million in external cancer-relevant research funding, of which more than 75 percent is peer-reviewed. Summary of Duties Designs, develops, tests and integrates web-based software for support of clinical research and administration; establishes working relationships with on-site clinical research and administrative staff to develop use-cases for web-based software; quickly translates these informal use-cases into production quality code; refactors existing code base to improve efficiency and maintainability.
