Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

Experience
  • At least 5-7 years of experience working in industry, higher education and/or workforce development is necessary.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including editing, computer skills and the ability to gather, organize and compile data are required.
  • Familiarity with life science and manufacturing terminology a plus as are familiarity with community college, public workforce system and/or federally funded grants administration and implementation.
  • Must be able to maintain close communication with project manager but also carry out complex tasks with limited supervision.
Description

This Project Coordinator will support all aspects of BioOhio’s implementation of the U.S. Department of Labor-funded Ohio Bioscience Workforce Preparedness project which will recruit, train and place over 600 Ohioans for employment in Ohio’s growing bioscience industry. Working under the direction of the project manager and in concert with a range of project partners including six Ohio community colleges, a number of Ohio Workforce System partners, the Ohio Department of Development, the AFL-CIO of Ohio and a number of bioscience employers in Ohio, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of a range of project activities. COMPENSATION: First Year Annual Salary up to $60,000 plus benefits
