QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS Individual in this position must have: • A minimum of three years of hands-on experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer • Comprehensive understanding of QA methodologies and their context within the SDLC framework. • Knowledge and practice of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead group discussions and make presentations. • Expertise in feature-driven test case development • Expertise in Oracle DBMS with a focus on SQL and PL/SQL • Expertise in quality assurance of IVR-based solutions. • Complete competency with MS Windows and Office. • Excellent typing skills, strong grammar and spelling abilities. This is accomplished through comprehensive regression and new feature testing as part of the system development lifecycle. This associate is also responsible for the continuous improvement of the methods, process, and performance of the Quality Assurance program. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS This is intended as an outline of the essential functions of the position. Actual metrics that measure job performance are set forth in separate performance management documentation. Regression Testing • Manages all aspects of the regression and new feature testing effort by the Technical Support Engineers prior to each product deployment. • Drives continuous improvement and repeatable success of the Quality Assurance program through a documented process honed by performance feedback loops. • Translation of complex business requirements into comprehensive test plans. • Logs test results and reports bugs and other inconsistencies. • Responsible for scope, design, implementation and maintenance of an automated regression testing framework for the ARCOS product. • Works with Engineering management to ensure regression tests are updated as product functionality is added, enhanced, or retired. • Identifies and reports on key performance indicators gauging the success of the Quality Assurance program. • Provides periodic input to the CTO’s efforts to identify best product architectural and coding practices thereby contributing to overall quality. • Participates in design and code reviews Knowledge of ARCOS Product and tools • Advanced ARCOS product knowledge. Is Subject Matter Expert (SME). Can lead and assist others as well as serve as a consultant on product functionality to Engineering. • Mentors product development staff on effective testing tools and techniques. • Able to operate ARCOS without assistance from documentation or other member of the staff. • Proficient with tools necessary to perform job, including SalesForce, OneNote, TOAD, cygconn and OSCAR. Capable of researching improved methods. Self-Study and Job Knowledge • Thorough knowledge of the business needs and the detailed functionality of the ARCOS product. • Understanding of the SaaS model and how it drives our customers’ success. • Expected to collaborate with immediate supervisor on a training and self-improvement plan. • Must address deficiencies in the set of required skills outlined above. • Attend or complete one training or conference annually.
