May 21, 2010

Ray Bohac, founder and CEO of CallCopy has been named as a finalist in the Ernst & Young 2010 Entrepreneur of the Year awards for the South Central Ohio and Kentucky region.  The awards program, now in its 23rd year, was started to recognize and honor the accomplishments of the outstanding men and women who keep our economy moving forward.  The awards identify, salute, support and reward these individuals.  Winners selected from the 26 regional competitions will vie for national awards which are presented annually in Palm Springs as the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum.

“In the years since founding CallCopy, not only has the company grown, but Ray has grown as a businessman and an entrepreneur,” said Kevin Gadd, director of IT commercialization for TechColumbus, who nominated Bohac for the award.

“Ray went from being a technical guy with a great idea, to the founder of a startup, to the leader of one of the fastest growing businesses in the region.  At every juncture, Ray has put into place the core values and business fundamentals that will help ensure the sustainability of CallCopy as one of the region’s leading employers for years to come.”

Two other local entrepreneurs are finalists including Dr. Peter Clarkson, president and CEO, AC Lens and Andrew Jacobs, president and CEO of Influent Inc. The South Central Ohio and Kentucky region will honor all finalists on June 24th during a black tie awards banquet to be held at the Duke Energy Center in Cincinnati.
