5+ years technical sales experience in capital equipment sales 2+ years sales experience in research/scientific market 2+ years experience managing domestic and international independent dealers and/or representatives

Description

Purpose:

Sales growth in the assigned territory and optimization of the customer experience

Scope:

  • Manages a key business process involving decision-making that has significant risk
  • Manage all aspects of assigned domestic and international sales territories.
  • Formulate sales objectives, policies, and other pertinent programs to promote and maximize sales in the assigned territory.
  • May have direct sales responsibility of a territory or manage a Dealer or Manufacturer’s Representative.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Manage all aspects of assigned direct sales territory within North America or an international territory

1) technical analysis of customer applications and requirements,

2) evaluation and processing of customer RFQ, quality, and export requirements,

3) issuance of budgetary estimates and quotations,

4) review of purchase orders with terms and conditions,

5) order taking, issuance of order entry and export compliance documentation,

6) customer support during manufacturing process,

7) coordinate order shipment schedules,

8) support customer facilities with site preparation and equipment installation guidance,

9) manage post installation operational service and support

B. Work with customers or dealer or sales representative to maximize sales

C. Coordinate support for all customers with Inside Sales, Marketing, Technical Service, Accounting, and other departments

D. Prepare sales forecasts

E. Plan and coordinate travel by company staff in support of customers

F. Travel regularly to visit with customers to support their activities and maximize sales

G. Schedule and coordinate visits to company by customers

H. Resolve problems with customers

I. Respond to daily correspondence from customers

J. Work with and have functional knowledge of computer systems and general office equipment

Travel Requirements:

Requires unrestricted domestic and international travel approximately 25%+ of the time Willingness to travel on short notice Must maintain an up-to-date passport
