Renowned MIT Bioscience Researcher and Innovator to Lead Web Forum Broadcast Being Hosted by OSU’s Center for Entrepreneurship and TEC Institute

An upcoming Web broadcast being hosted by OSU’s Center for Entrepreneurship and TEC Institute will feature MIT professor Robert Langer.  Langer is known as the most cited engineer in history with over 750 issued or pending patents worldwide (licensed to 220 pharma, chemical, biotech, or medical device companies).  Anyone interested in commercializing a bioscience solution is encouraged to attend.  Professor Langer will share his decades of experience in dealing with the challenges that surround moving breakthrough technologies from the lab to the market including: 

  • The process of and excitement that comes from discovery
  • The challenge of acceptance from the scientific community and
  • obtaining rights to your intellectual property
  • The winding road to commercialization


The program is part of MIT’s Enterprise Forum which produces a series of educational programs about entrepreneurship through a network of worldwide chapters. The forum will be broadcast from OSU’s Pfahl Hall (280 Woodruff Ave.) on September 22 beginning at 4:30 p.m.  The Web broadcast will be followed by an open forum from 6:00-6:30 and a reception from 6:30-7:30.
