Description

As a Research Scientist, you will help develop remote sensing data processing solutions while working in conjunction with government agencies, industry partners and research institutions based in the Washington D.C. area.
 
Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating customer requirements to design and implement complex image processing and analysis methods
  • Optimize and tune image processing algorithms and processing workflows
  • Create software tools for effective algorithm training and testing
  • Perform software validation, testing and verification
  • Collaborate with partner entities

Requirements:

  • Solid documentation abilities, including written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience developing multi-threaded, distributed or parallel software, GPS/IMU processing and writing algorhithms.
  • Knowledge of electro-optical sensors, light detection, ranging sensors also is important. 
  • Masters or Ph.D preferred; bachelor's degree w/ strong work experience also considered
  • Advanced studies or work experience in imaging / remote sensing
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret Security Clearance

Travel:
The position will require 75% travel; in lieu of travel, relocation to Virginia / D.C. Metro Area may also be an option.
