Leadership experience gained through leading a group of consultants, including sound judgment skills, good interpersonal skills, excellent motivational skills and proven conflict resolution skills. Excellent communication skills in all aspects of communication – verbal and written. Very good presentation skills. Familiarity with social networking and its use in reaching out to geographically dispersed employees. |
| Description | Responsibilities Provide career planning, coaching and mentoring services to the consulting workforce. Leverage industry standard methodologies or develop a methodology to manage the process of planning, defining, managing and supporting career planning for consultants. Responsible for ensuring assignments are aligned with consultants’ career plans. Provide support and guidance to business development managers on assignment and projects best suited to the strengths of the consultants. Assist consultants in completing their assignments plans that include assignment objectives, deliverables, and learning goals from each assignment. Prepare training plans for consultants based on their career plans, career goals and objectives. Assist in identifying, organizing, scheduling and coordinating training programs in the company. Manage the Performance Review and Appraisal Process of the company. Ensure performance reviews are completed by managers or clients at regular intervals or at the end of a consulting assignment. Develop PIPs (Performance Improvement Plans), wherever necessary, in conjunction with the reporting manager. Prepare resource plans that include resource forecasting and acquisition that are consistent with company’s growth plans. The resource plans should include quantity and types of resources needed, types of skills to be hired, and source of hiring. Develop structured and industry-standard Coaching and Mentoring programs in the company. Provide direction and guidance to mentors so they can be effective mentors. Implement measurement mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of coaching and mentoring programs. Define and implement standard processes for onboarding of new employees, develop an orientation program, and conduct exit interviews for employees leaving the firm. Communicate company-wide new employee hirings, employee exits, role changes and other important personnel changes. Develop a company-wide communication strategy to communicate with employees by leveraging online tools such as blogs, intranets, Facebook, and other social networking tools. Responsible for Bench Management with a view to maintaining high resource utilization. Collaborate with Sales staff to ensure unassigned consultants are being marketed. Collaborate with Delivery Manager to keep bench consultants engaged on internal projects. Function as a liaison between consultants and the Accounting group. Support resolution of HR issues through this interface role (payroll, immigration, benefits). Support other operational duties such as contract negotiation, vendor management, interface with corporate attorneys and accountants. Promote a culture within the organization that encourages camaraderie, teamwork and the feeling of belonging to a team.
