Results Are In for the OSU Business Builders Club Spring 2011 Idea Pitch

May 26, 2011

The Business Builders Club (BBC) at Ohio State hosted its third Idea Pitch Competition of the year on Tuesday May 24th. The Idea Pitch Competitions help fund student-run businesses through prize money awarded to the best three business proposals.

In this last competition there were seven presentations, and placing first was Phantom Pools, run by Mike Leone, a junior at OSU. The second place was awarded to Rewardster, founded by Stephen Gacka, Ben Gilbert, and Eric Kerr, all engineering students at OSU.  The TechColumbus-sponsored third prize was won by HAYO, founded by Nils Root, former BBC president and OSU senior.

The pitches were critiqued by area entrepreneurs including Gary Rawlings and Greg Pugh of TechColumbus. The BBC at OSU is dedicated to facilitating entrepreneurs and innovation throughout Central Ohio.
