Reuters Names OSU Medical Center a Top Hospital for Heart Care

November 19, 2009

The OSU Medical Center has been named one of the top U.S. hospitals for inpatient cardiovascular care by Thomson Reuters.  The center is among 30 recipients nationwide in the category of Teaching Hospitals with Cardiovascular Residency Programs.  Reuters analyzed outcomes from 971 hospitals for patients with heart failure and heart attacks and for those who received percutaneous cardiovascular interventions such as angioplasties.

This distinction follows the 2009 ranking by US News and World Report of OSU’s Ross Heart Hospital as a leader in heart care, ranking 37 out of 4,861 hospitals nationwide.
