Safelite Autoglass® Employees’ Photos Selected For National Calendar

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Out of a 1,670 submissions, 12 photos taken by Safelite AutoGlass^® employees throughout the country were selected as part of an annual, nationwide photo contest that determines images featured in a 2012 calendar produced by the company.

This is the 15^th year Safelite AutoGlass^® has produced an associate photo calendar, which is distributed to more than 20,000 company employees, clients and vendors. This year’s theme for the calendar is “Powered by Our People.”

In previous years, Safelite AutoGlass^® President and CEO Tom Feeney chose his favorite photo to receive the top prize and adorn the cover of the calendar. To reinforce the theme of “Powered by Our People,” this year, the cover selection was made by a company-wide vote.

The winner was Eric Sallee, a Safelite AutoGlass^® technician from Phoenix, Ariz. The photo shows 3666th Support Maintenance Company returning home from Iraq. “I was there with my entire family and it was the first glimpse we got of them walking toward us at the airport,” Sallee said. “I just thought it was a cool moment. My uncle was front and center too.”

Employees whose photos will be included in the 2012 calendar as listed as follows:

• People's Choice ($750 cash prize) – Eric Sallee, technician support associate Phoenix, Ariz.
• Second Place ($650 cash prize) – Matt Johnson, advertising director, Columbus, Ohio
• Third Place ($550 cash prize) – Andrey Skorobagatko, technician, Cherry Hill, N.J.

Employees were invited to submit their favorite photos in late summer. A panel of judges narrowed the field from 1,670 photos down to a few dozen, and then to the final 12 that will appear in the calendar. The judges were:
