Agile software development techniques are being adopted within the majority of organizations around the world and are now being applied “at scale” in very complex situations. This interactive presentation will overview the Agile Scaling Model (ASM), agile software development processes such as Scrum, distributed agile delivery, and explores scaling issues such as geographically distributed teams, regulatory compliance, large teams, organizationally distributed teams, technical complexity, domain complexity, enterprise issues, and organizational challenges.

Scott W. Ambler is Chief Methodologist/Agile with IBM Software Group, working with IBM customers around the world to help them to improve their software processes. He is the founder of the Agile Modeling (AM), Agile Data (AD), Agile Unified Process (AUP), and Enterprise Unified Process (EUP) methodologies and creator of the Agile Process Maturity Model (APMM). Scott is the (co-)author of 19 books, including Refactoring Databases, Agile Modeling, Agile Database Techniques, The Object Primer 3rd Edition, and The Enterprise Unified Process. Scott is a senior contributing editor with Dr. Dobb’s Journal.
