CPA Firm seeks Senior Accountant Regional CPA firm seeking candidate for position of senior accountant. Firm is experiencing significant growth. The position has a strong potential for further growth and responsibility. The position will offer an excellent compensation package to the appropriate candidate.
Requirements: •
- 3+ years of public accounting experience and CPA. Big Four experience a plus
- Audit and review experience required and tax experience a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP requirements, along with excellent research and issue resolution skills
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills, ability to interact effectively with senior management
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, as well as strong analytical skills
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks, MS Word, Excel and tax software programs
- Excellent organizational, time management and follow-up skills
- Ability to handle multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong initiative, tenacity, persistence and a “can-do” attitude
- Motivation to meet high standards of quality and performance
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations
- Insurance industry experience a plus
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and conduct all activities of audit and review engagements
- Adapt the audit approach to the changing regulatory and client environments
- Prepare corporate, individual and partnership income tax returns and assist with tax consulting engagements
- Develop people through effectively delegating tasks and providing guidance to staff
- Ensure quality control measures are adhered to for planning, fieldwork, and review of attest engagements
- Utilize audit skills on consulting engagements to improve clients’ internal controls and processes
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned
- Assist clients with Sarbanes-Oxley documentation and internal controls testing
- Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery
