Senior Java Developer

A BS in Computer Science is preferred.

• 2-3 Years experience in website development using WebSphere Commerce.
• Experience with Endeca search framework is a plus.
• Experience with web based credit card authorization such as Verified by Visa, Mastercard Secure, and PayPal
• The candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years of previous Java development experience in a direct-to-consumer ecommerce environment.

JEGS Automotive, Inc., an industry leading multi-channel retailer in the distribution of after market high performance auto parts and accessories, is searching for a self motivated professional with proven success developing Java based ecommerce projects.   

Responsibilities

• Experience packaging and deploying Java applications using Websphere Application Server.
• Experience in application architecture, design, development, testing, implementation and documentation of web based applications using Java.
• Experience with object oriented principles and concepts.
• Application architecture, design, and development concepts and best practices.
• Java J2EE based development/support in mission-critical application environment, including web services, XML processing tools, Javascript and HTML.
• Testing Java and web based applications, including unit, integration, system, and customer acceptance testing based on defined test plans with specific requirements-driven test cases.
• Experience in development and deployment in a multi-tiered and multi-server application architecture.
• Experience with application servers and web services.
• Experience in using DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server with SSIS. 

Desired Skills

• E2-3 Years Experience in website development using WebSphere Commerce is a MUST.
• Experience with Endeca search framework is a plus.
• Experience with web based credit card authorization such as Verified by Visa, Mastercard Secure, and PayPal.

The candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years of previous Java development experience in a direct-to-consumer ecommerce environment. A BS in Computer Science is preferred.
