Bachelor’s Degree with significant coursework in Computer Science, or the equivalent technical experience.

Minimum of 5 years application/system development experience. Previous statement or plastics processing experience is a plus.

FTE positions x 3

Design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of programming applications to satisfy requirements of one or more user areas. Analyzes, designs and develops, implements program and test specifications for system changes and complex enhancements. Codes and debugs programs, and using various development tools and utilities. Typically provides 24-hour daily production and technical support to assigned systems solving system and application problems in an on-call rotation.

Works business analysts to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions/vendor products and makes recommendations. Provides comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staffs at the highest technical level.  May lead small to medium projects and develop project plans. May provide review the work of other team members. Will provide technical and analytical support to assigned job family and will exercise discretion and independent judgment on a daily basis.

Capable of leading teams, cross-discipline planning and implementation. Extensive experience with large environments, multiple operating systems, multiple infrastructure applications and networked technology. Will be capable not only of planning, architecting and managing the implementation of solutions to highly complex problems and challenges, but would provide proactive strategy around opportunities they see.  Experience with statement processing, credit card processing, or plastics processing a definite plus.

Required Skills

Proven system analysis, programming, and problem-solving/diagnostic capabilities. Structured programming knowledge. Ability to understand and develop technical direction, assess business requirements, and develop system specifications.

Client server application development experience is strongly desired as well. Preferred experience includes Object-Oriented application development exposure (Java), client/server applications, Web/Application servers - WebLogic, WebSphere, or their Open Source counterparts, Portal – WebSphere Portal, SQL, relational databases (DB2, Oracle) and server OS (UNIX/Linux) exposure. Working experience with MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and NotesMail are required. Entity-relationship modeling within major relational databases (Oracle, DB2) and writing stored procedures.

Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of project planning and control techniques. Ability to complete complex projects with medium to high levels of complexity with limited supervision.

Desired, but not Required

Operational usage of reporting tools such as Crystal or SAP/Business Objects Enterprise is a plus. Experience with statement processing, credit card processing, or plastics processing is a plus.
