Senior Java Development Engineer

3 years professional experience developing J2EE web applications.Expert knowledge of JSP, XML, SPRING, Hibernate, common design patterns and relational DBMS experience using common Apache frameworks for Java Development.  Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience and business concepts to technical audiences. Experience with enterprise scale application development. Experience writing complex SQL.

Under moderate supervision to provide technical expertise in the design, development, implementation, and initial production support of web development projects based on the open source Java technologies. Collaborates with like-minded educational partners to develop enterprise applications and integration solutions that adhere to accepted standards and the latest open source specifications. Works closely with functional team members to ensure that the customers' business needs are met. Works at a highly technical level to provide enterprise development expertise and leadership in the enhancement and support of Kuali infrastructure and custom applications built on that infrastructure. Participates in tactical and strategic planning sessions.
