HLS MedFreight ® (Healthcare Logistics Solutions) is an information services company focused on healthcare logistics. Our team is growing and we are seeking a Sales Professional who is an experienced, energetic, congenial, highly-motivated individual who will excel in a fast-paced company.
The successful candidate will be working in a very professional, customer focused company that is the market leader in healthcare freight management. The associate will be properly compensated for being dedicated to the company and working the commensurate time to ensure sales goals are achieved. There is tremendous demand for inbound/outbound freight management within healthcare and HLS MedFreight needs an associate to dedicate their highly focused selling skills on this program to help us accomplish our mission and annual goals of meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Objective
- To earn the opportunity to implement the HLS MedFreight program to as many health systems as possible.
- To ensure all customers perceive HLS MedFreight as professional, ethical, keeping our word, and focused on reducing their costs.
- To be true to the HLS MedFreight mission and unifying principles.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Sell the HLS MedFreight program through the entire sales cycle, ensuring there is a signed contract and the customer is “live” on the freight program.
- Have a complete understanding of the HLS MedFreight program to professionally articulate to prospective customers.
- Work with healthcare Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contacts to obtain a meeting/conference call with the Vice President or Director of Materials Management at individual hospitals.
- Prepare all necessary documents for a sales presentation with the hospital, either via webcast or in person. 5. Have the ability to learn and lead contract discussions that involve basic legal concepts.
- Be a customer liaison for all questions/issues and coordinate answers for freight management questions with other HLS MedFreight team members.
Qualifications
- College degree required.
- Direct sales experience of 3-5 years required, preferably healthcare (not necessarily pharmaceutical sales). 3. Demonstrated understanding and usage of solution sales-based methodologies and processes.
- Extremely organized to handle a very high number of accounts.
- The ability to handle more than one product category, across a large number of accounts.
- Have the experience and proven techniques to get to the “decision maker” (VP level) on a very consistent basis.
- Have an unusually high attention to detail, including great grammar, spelling, and tremendous follow-up skills to achieve all deadlines.
- Periodic national travel required – up to 2 days per week.
- Ability to be “nicely persistent” – having the ability of developing creative ideas to interact with the potential customer and following up in a timely manner.
- Be self sufficient, at least at a “moderate” knowledge level, with the Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Always be ethical in all interactions with the customer and fellow associates.
- Be accessible – return calls as soon as possible, within the same day.
- Be politically savvy in your interaction with the customers, the GPOs, and other professional interactions.
- Always do what you say you will do, when you say you will do it.
- Live by the company mission and Unifying Principles (see attached document).
- Be good listeners and always demonstrate that we care about our customers.
- Make it simple for the customer.
