Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, mathematics or related field is preferred

2 to 3 years experience in ASP, .NET, SQL Server and Object oriented design. Experience in programming and systems analysis. Project management experience is preferred.

We are in the need of a Software Developer for our office in Columbus, OH.  This role will collaborate wiht requirement analysts, system testers, and other developers to design, develop, and deliver project solutions using the geoAMPS framework.  The right candidate will have some experience leading technical personnel and at least 2 to 3 years of experience in ASP, .NET, SQL Server, and object Oriented design.  Good written and verbal communication skills are absolutely required.  Experience with Agile Practices and Principles, such as Test Driven Development, Paired Programming, and Scrum are beneficial, but not required.  Six Sigma or other process reengineering knowledge a plus.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities;

Create and review design documentation

Participate in project estimation discussion

Review requirements and test cases for clarity and coverage

Accountable for developing the more complex project deliverables

Review and assign defect fix tasks to developers

Support the implementation of projects

Job Summary: With full competency, enhances or modifies the geoAMPS framework to solve complex business problems to drive desired results.  Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents those programs. Competent work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications programming activities.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develops cost effective information technology solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications that are more complex with full competency.

2. Analyzes and validates complex system requirements and existing business processes adn imformation systems.  Designs, develops and implements new programs and/or modifications of existing applications.  Responsible for the more complex designs, prototypes and other methodologies for new and/or existing systems including the development and implementation of test plans and program specifications with various interfaces.

3. Design, codes, tests, debugs, and documents adn implements complex software applications according to standards and guidelines.

4. Develops specifications and programs complex technical modules, applications, prototypes and computer programs.

5. Assists in leading all aspects of applications programming and development.

6. Evaluates adn provides technical solutions to complex application development problems.

7. May act as a technical consultant for small-scale projects that include multiple product lines and various interfaces.

8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Competencies: Must have the ability to analyze complex applications and systems.  Must be able to program complex systems requireing minimal interfaces.  Must possess problem-solving skills to determine the programming effects on existing systems.  Must have strong decision-making skills for problem indentification and solution recommendation.  Must have written and oral communication skills to prepare and communicate programming plans and procedures as well as to interact with all levels within the company.
