Education of at least a technical BS Degree. Knowledge in Antiques and Collectible industry a plus.

1.Six years development experience overall with 3 in a management capacity

2.High level of competency in web based product development. Knowledge in Java development preferred. Familiarity with modern development methodology.

We are currently seeking an experienced Software Development Manager. Under the direction of CTO and in collaboration with various WorthPoint team members, this individual will lead the software development team on all projects. He or she will be accountable for delivering development initiatives on time; on budget; and within scope of performance in all project phases – from requirements through to post launch maintenance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Mentors and coaches development team members

Consults with management team members regarding programming-related business needs; establishes/confirms project requirements & priorities

Develops project plans for all work clearly identifying resources; milestones and risk factors. Ensures feasibility of all project parameters.

Balances staff workload according to priorities while streamlining workflow processes

Develops standard reporting that provides management team with an accurate status of work progress and potential variances from plan

Conducts employee evaluations.

Communicates daily with the system administrators regarding server and connectivity issues, security, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS/POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

1. 6 years development experience overall with 3 in a management capacity
2. High level of competency in web based product development. Knowledge in Java development preferred. Familiarity with modern development methodology.
3. Able to comprehend user business needs/concerns and integrate that understanding with technical skills.
4. High level verbal and written communication skills. Ability to facilitate discussion among people with differing backgrounds and opinions leading to consensus. Extensive interaction with both technical and non-technical team members; ability to bridge between them
5. Education of at least a technical BS Degree
6. Knowledge in Antiques and Collectible industry a plus.
