Experience
  • Experience in physics or engineering; able to understand scientific measurements
  • 7+ year’s product design or programming experience • Advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming techniques such as Code Refactoring, Design Patterns, and Single Responsibility Principles
  • 3+ years’ experience with Windows Forms applications using C# language and .NET Framework 
  • Experience interfacing to measurement hardware such as voltmeters and signal generators
  • Candidates will be asked to show sample code in C# representing their coding style
Description

Lake Shore Cryotronics is an international leader in developing innovative measurement and control solutions, including cryogenic temperature sensors and instrumentation, magnetic test equipment, metrology systems, and probe stations used for characterizing the physical properties of materials. Engineers, physicists and scientists from our R&D, Design and Manufacturing Departments work concurrently under one roof, as their projects turn into products on our manufacturing floor.

We are located in Westerville, a northeast suburb of Columbus OH. This newly created position is needed to keep up with increased demands for new system-level products that control scientific test and measurement equipment.

The Software Engineer III - OOP will lead the software portion for mid to large scale projects including: project management, software requirement generation, translating requirements into specifications, architecture design, verification/validation test design, and technical documentation. They will also take the lead role in high level programming in a Windows environment. This engineer will be responsible for writing both application code and unit-testing code for Windows Forms applications using the C# language and .NET Framework. This position may involve the technical direction of other software personnel.
