BA/BS Degree in Computer Systems or Business with at least 5+ years in the Information Technology industry (5+ years as a Software Quality Engineer/Test Engineer /Test Analyst) or equivalent work experience in the Software Quality Assurance field

1. Thorough understanding of quality management and modern testing techniques, methodologies, processes, procedures and measurement for large, complex initiatives 2. Thorough knowledge of test planning and test case design for all types of testing including functionality, usability, regression, systems integration, end to end, performance and load testing 3. Software Development Lifecycle experience using agile methodologies 4. Advanced knowledge of testing metrics, KPIs and other test metrics and reporting methods 5. Experience in providing technical leadership to vendors and multiple project team members 6. Ability to mentor and train others on testing and Quality Assurance practices, both informally at peer-level and through formal instruction 7. Industry related certifications including ISTQB, CSQA, CQA, CSTE or CISA certifications are a plus

As a successful Columbus-based SaaS model software company, we are looking for an experienced Software QA Manager for this hands-on position which requires strategic thinking, planning, and execution skills to build a SQA practice from the ground up. The Software QA Manager will report to the Sr. VP of Technology and work closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Project Managers to design, develop and implement various testing strategies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential duties and responsibilities of this job include the following. These are the duties that define this job and are required to be performed by the candidate. Other essential duties may be assigned. A. Lead efforts to develop, document, implement and manage SQA processes and procedures to provide effective methodology and practice standards B. Insure complete testing coverage and requirements traceability through the creation, implementation and enhancement of comprehensive test plans, test cases, test steps and test automation C. Review and identify gaps and deficiencies in business requirements, technical specifications, designs and testing documentation for completeness and testability D. Develop reporting standards and manage reporting of key SQA metrics and test project status E. Successfully manage multiple test projects simultaneously F. Help create and deliver against QA departmental goals and objectives G. Work closely with product management, project managers, and adjacent team members H. Communicate critical issues and status updates in a timely manner I. Educate and train developers, peers and future SQA team members on the SQA process J. Participate in release activities to validate successful deployment of software into production systems K. Use troubleshooting skills to assist in root cause analysis of production issues L.
