Position Summary:
Quality Assurance Tester who must adhere to and promote our core values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team player and supporting the rapid growth of our company. Tests software in an AGILE environment and performs analysis to ensure that software products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards. Develop and apply customized test procedures for Northwoods proprietary software products. Communicate with product developers and support center technicians on software issues.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create test plans and test scripts
  • Execute functional and regression tests
  • Selects and develops test automation and test cases
  • Monitors / triages / debugs bugs and helps identify fixes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in processes
  • Work as directed on product, documentation and/or systems support
  • Work with Agile team and Product Owners to help empathize with customer and understand their needs
  • Work with Agile team and Product Owners to help the team develop a conscience that is focused on delivery of value and quality
  • Participate in daily standup, sprint pre-planning, iteration retrospective and iteration planning meetingsWork with Agile team and Product Owners to determine acceptance criteria
  • Work under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment
  • Other job related duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Moderate skills with high level of proficiency
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent problem solving skills
  • Software development experience
  • Full functional ability to use computer and computer related equipment
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be willing and able to travel minimum of 1 week per year
  • Must have and maintain valid Driver License, reliable transportation and full coverage auto insurance
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

 Desired Competencies:

 

  •     Bachelors of Science in either CIS or MIS or equivalent experience in related field
  •     CSTE Certification a plus
  •     Solid knowledge of development, test and release life cycle
  •     Experience with SharePoint or Visual Studio Team Foundation Server a plus
  •     Familiarity with Web Services, T-SQL/SQL Server, IIS and XML a plus
  •     Experience testing software in an Agile Environment
  •     Document imaging experience a plus
  •     Strong interpersonal skills
  •     Strong written and verbal communication skills
