Congratulations to SolarVision LLC, a third party solar financer based out of Westerville, Ohio! SolarVision has pioneered the way to successfully install, commission, and finance five solar power systems through Solar Power Purchase Agreements (SPPAs) at no cost to the customer. By utilizing new market tax credits, and state and federal grants, SolarVision is able to create a win-win situation. The customer is only required to to buy the electricity that the solar array generates. Not only does this embrace positive change, it shows the community that “going green” is now economically viable in Ohio.
Solarvision LLC has installed a solar power system in Worthington at Evening Street Elementary, and soon to be commissioned projects in Newcomerstown Elementary & High Schools, Athens Community Center, and Washington Court House.
Newcomerstown will have a commissioning event at the end of September and would like to invite you to join us (date and time to be announced). In addition, the Green Energy Ohio (GEO) solar tour will be held October 2nd & 3rd in which you can participate at over 50 locations throughout Ohio. For those locally in Columbus and nearby cities, Worthington’s Evening Street Elementary School will be open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, October 2nd and 12pm-4pm on Sunday, October 3rd.
