This includes but is not limited to; Implementation, administration, monitoring, backup, migrations, support and documentation. * Helps define processes, build database schemas, tables and develops shell scripts. Will analyze database environments to understand and make recommendations for tuning, performance, capacity and other areas to ensure optimal efficiency. * Will work independently with the business and IT teams to actively participate in organizational projects. This will including following a defined SDLC process. Primary Responsibilities: * Operations and Monitoring of the environment * Involved in projects for build, test and deployment of databases * Patching and upgrades * Performing backup and cloning * Troubleshoots problems with database tier of environment. Working with application owners to resolve issues. * Creates and maintains documentation for environment. * Participates in the 24/7 on call rotation Minimum Job Qualifications: * Bachelor*s degree in a related field and 3-5 years experience in Database Administration * Certifications a plus, such as SQL MCTS, MCITP, MCM * Independent knowledge of SQL and SQL 2005/2008 * Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies for various database technologies * Demonstrated ability to create shell scripts for task automation * Experience with mid to large size organizations * Highly organized and results driven * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to be on call 24x7 and have a flexible work schedule Contact: Rob Gudipudi Everest Technologies, Inc 614.408.8148 rgudipudi@everesttech.com
