Opportunity:

We are hiring a Sr. Database Administrator in our IT department.  The Sr. Database Administrator will build and maintain secure, high-performing, high-availability Database

environments for support of NetJets' global operations; to provide 24x7x365 support of all Oracle and DB2 databases, including providing on-call support; to assist with database upgrades as required; to architect and plan the database infrastructure using new technologies; and to provide progress updates to the Team Lead and to project managers. This position will be located in Columbus, OH.    

What do you need to join our team?

• Candidates must have experience administering/creating Oracle 10g/9i/ on UNIX and/or Linux platforms.

• Experience with High Availability database solutions/architectures such as Veritas Clusters, Oracle Advanced Replication, Oracle Standby Database/DataGuard or Oracle Real Application Clusters.

• First hand experience with RMAN and one of the major backup packages.

• Must have excellent SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting skills.  Java or pearl experience is desirable.

• Hands-on experience with Oracle performance tuning /Statspack/AWR/ASH/ADDM.

• Data warehousing experience is a plus, but is not required.

• Hands on experience with database monitoring tools is required (10g Grid/ 9i OEM).

• Logical & Physical database design experience and data modeling experience is required.

• Experience with DB2 is a plus.

• Oracle Dataguard/Oracle Standby databases.

• Oracle performance tuning.

• RMAN or major backup packages.

• Logical and Physical Database design.

• Oracle Advanced Replication/ Real Application Clusters/VCS for Oracle.

• SQL, PLSQL, Shell scripting.

• Data warehousing/OLAP.

• Grid Control/9i OEM.

• Provide accurate time tracking details and appropriate metrics for work performed.
